First Aid Course 2019

On Saturday 26th October 2019 Sussex YFC hosted a first aid training course run by Tumbledown Training. The course is based around First Aid at work, we covered how to do CPR and use an AED, what to do if someone is unconscious, how to deal with bites, stings, cuts and nosebleeds and what to do if someone is choking.

There were eight participants from across the county, three members and three club leaders successfully passed the Emergency First Aid at Work Course while two other members attended for the morning session to complete their refresher training, having completed the full course last year.

Many thanks to Jenni our trainer for running a brilliant training session and to Mary for organising the session.

Most of our training sessions are subsidised for members by funds kindly donated to Sussex YFC for the purposes of training. This allows members to further progress their skills in the workplace either for free or at a greatly reduced price. Members who wish to complete training that they think might be appropriate for funding should contact the county office in the first instance.
