Show Day (Heathfield Show) 2019
This year was the first time we have held our show day competitions at the Heathfield Show. Classes included, novelty cakes to the theme of seasons, bug hotels, bird boxes, windchimes, sculptures, postcards, collages, club displays and scrapbooks. We had a good number of entries and it was great to see a lot of clubs getting involved.
We also ran a few different activities on the day to do some fundraising. This included the bean bag game from Hailsham YFC and the first public appearance of the Sussex YFC pig racing track which was very popular. We also had three bottle fed lambs in the stand and hosted a popular “guess the weight of the lamb (Albert)” competition which had nearly a hundred entries!
We also, as in previous years, helped at the end of the show to take down the sheep and pig pens. This year we had a really goog number of people turn up to help, which was really appreciated and resulted in a good donation to our funds.
